Modern Optic contemporary
greeting cards and prints are created by hand in small quantities on a
mid-century Vandercook cylinder proof press made with soy inks on high quality, recovered
fiber and
environmentally responsible cotton paper. These fine art cards exhibit large solids and multiple passes, which make them as exquisite as any cards available.
In the letterpress relief printing process, each color
is created in a separate pass on the press. The reversed, raised surface is inked and
then pressed into a sheet of paper to obtain a positive right-reading image.
The classic cards are handmade with high quality recycled paper and matching
envelopes. The designs are printed on acetate
for striking clarity and intense colors. The cards are
blank unless otherwise specified.
